Don’t Forget to Check Local Companies

Published by there4u under Work at Home Jobs Edit This

Most of the time when I think of working from home I think about online work.  I wanted to mention today that that is not the only option you have.

I know a lady who makes a full time income working for her local doctor’s office.  She does it all from home.  She drives down and picks up the tapes that need to be transcribed.  Goes home and types them up in to her computer program, and drops them back off at the doctor’s office when she is done.  She has 4 kids and this is a great way for her to stay at home with them.

My point is to check with your local businesses too if you are looking to work from home.  Doctor’s especially need things transcribed so try them first.  You might even find some law offices that could use that type of service.  You won’t know until you ask.

If you are a little too shy to ask for a job, then place an ad in your local paper offering your services.  Be as detailed as possible and someone may see the ad and contact you.

Finding a local company is also great because you will know you are not going to get scammed.  We all know when we accept a job online that there is a chance the job could be a fraud (although that shouldn’t stop you from finding online work).  So place your ad and make your calls and soon you could be working from home with a company in your area.

Daily Article: A Great Place to Sell Articles

Published by there4u under Work at Home Jobs Edit This

I write a lot of articles for payment online.  It’s a great way to earn a living from home if you enjoy writing and if you are a fast typer.

One site I use to use was called Associated Content and they were awesome until they changed all their rules.  Now you are lucky to get $3 if your article gets accepted at all.  It just isn’t worth it for most writers and many of my writing friends have left there.  So where do we all go now?

Well there is a great site called Daily Article.  They allow you to write and set a price for your article.  They keep a portion of that of course so factor that in when you make your price.  That’s how they profit.  So you set your price and then someone has to buy it.  Once they buy it you are paid by Paypal.  It’s a really easy site to use and even a newbie writer can use it.

The only downfall is you don’t get to keep rights to the article.  That is fine by me in most cases because I have no need for articles on some of the subjects I write on.

There are people on there getting $30 per article so it’s well worth your time.

Enjoy!

Get Paid to Write Reviews

Published by there4u under Work at Home Jobs Edit This

There is a great site called Shared Reviews.  They pay you to write reviews and rate other people’s reviews.  These reviews don’t have to be long at all as long as they are informative.  You can add pictures and video’s as well.

How do you make money with Shared Reviews?  You get people to vote for your reviews and you vote for other people’s reviews.  At the end of the month the owners look at which top 3 reviews are in each category and pay the people who wrote the reviews and the people who voted for those top reviews.

I actually make more money voting for other people’s reviews than I do for my own reviews.  I have 47 reviews published and for the last 2 months I have made $10 each month for them.  I made over $20 each month by voting for other people’s reviews and I only voted a portion of what I could have.

So if you like to write reviews or read and vote for others this is a good way to make a few extra dollars per month.  Maybe pay a phone bill or take your family to McDonald’s for dinner.

Search the Job Boards

Published by there4u under Work at Home Jobs Edit This

If you are looking for a work at home job and not a business opportunity than you should consider searching some job boards.  There are plenty out there and you can find the good ones by getting recommendations from work at home forums.

I love work at home forums because you get work at home information from real people who are already experienced  with many companies.  They can give you the web addresses of the good job boards and then when you spot a job that looks like it is perfect for you, you can go back to the forum and ask whether the company is legit or not.

I love writing so I tried this and found some great job boards.  I found many legitimate writing jobs and was able to put my applications in.  I also know many writers who get all their freelance jobs from job boards.  So essentially, job boards work!

Do You Like to Take Surveys?

Published by there4u under Work at Home Jobs Edit This

Taking surveys is a fun way to make a few extra dollars online.  I started out getting paid for surveys.  I wanted to do it full time, but quickly found out that you can’t really make a full time living doing surveys.  It was good extra money and it helped many times in paying an electric bill, phone bill, or cell phone payment.

I have a lot of friends that get paid for surveys and set aside the money they make from the surveys as a vacation fund.  I think that is a great idea!

Did you know that several of the sites accept 13 year olds and older?  You can introduce your child to these sites and help them put away a few dollars for a car, or college.  So you can even help your teen get paid for surveys.

I have a blog dedicated specifically to this subject.  You can read all about it and find legit companies Here:   Get Paid to Take Surveys

If You Like Writing

Published by there4u under Work at Home Jobs Edit This

One thing I like to do in my spare time is write articles. There are plenty of places online that pay you to write. There are article sites, blog sites, product review sites. I actually created a writing blog just for people who are interested making some money online by writing. These are all of course jobs and do not cost any money to join or contribute to.

Get Paid to Write

Some of the writing jobs pay per article or blog post while others let you earn based on your performance. That means by how many people read your review, article, or blog post. I really like getting upfront payment, but I can’t know the performance payments because they let your earn on your articles for life. Two years down the road you could still be making money off of an article you wrote.

What I suggest is doing a little bit of both to even it out. So if you want to get paid to write just visit my blog above.
