1. Freedom to create your own schedule. Work in the a.m. or when the kids go to bed. Work 2 hours on and 2 hours off. Work 5-6 days or a little each day for 7 days. You really have the freedom to do whatever best fits the lifestyle of your family.
2. You don’t answer to a boss because you are the boss. The biggest perk to working at home is that you don’t have to answer to anyone. You get to make all the decisions.
3. Unlimited possible income. The more you work, the more you make. You are not stuck with a 9-5 job’s salary. Your income can build each month.
4. More time with your kids and your spouse. Nothing is more important than spending time with your family. Now you don’t have to miss out on your daughter’s first word, or your son’s first baseball game. You can work around your family’s schedule and spend more time with them.
5. Gives you the time to home school your kids. This is something I do and many other work at home Mom’s. I get online early to check my emails etc. Then I home school my daughter until lunch time and go back to work while she plays. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
6. Gives you some control over your life. Now you can decide which direction you want your life to go in. Make yourself a goal chart and hang it in your office. Review it daily and make sure whatever you are doing it is in align with your goals. This is a great way to take control of your life.
7. It’s fun. I have so much fun networking with other mom’s and earning money at the same time. At this point I just couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
8. You can do something you love. With so many jobs/businesses available online you can choose to do what you love. You won’t be stuck in a job you hate. If you love candles join a candle business. If you love to write, find some writing jobs. The possibilities are endless.
9. Saves gas money, day care money, and more. I have read plenty of reports that showed the 2nd parent who worked was only making enough money to pay for their child’s daycare, gas to drive to work, and lunch money. If they stayed at home they would be in the exact same financial position, but they would be able to take care of their household and their kids. Not to mention they could start a business from home and actually earn money without having any of it go towards the above expenses.
10. Health reasons. Some people work from home because they cannot physically get up and go to a job. There are so many health reasons I couldn’t list them all. The Internet allows anyone who can type to make money online. My youngest daughter has Angelman Syndrome which is why I have to work from home. She is constant care and is quite sick a lot. No job would hire me when I would have to leave every other day to take care of my daughter. So working from home is an excellent solution.
