Don’t Forget to Check Local Companies
Most of the time when I think of working from home I think about online work. I wanted to mention today that that is not the only option you have.
I know a lady who makes a full time income working for her local doctor’s office. She does it all from home. She drives down and picks up the tapes that need to be transcribed. Goes home and types them up in to her computer program, and drops them back off at the doctor’s office when she is done. She has 4 kids and this is a great way for her to stay at home with them.
My point is to check with your local businesses too if you are looking to work from home. Doctor’s especially need things transcribed so try them first. You might even find some law offices that could use that type of service. You won’t know until you ask.
If you are a little too shy to ask for a job, then place an ad in your local paper offering your services. Be as detailed as possible and someone may see the ad and contact you.
Finding a local company is also great because you will know you are not going to get scammed. We all know when we accept a job online that there is a chance the job could be a fraud (although that shouldn’t stop you from finding online work). So place your ad and make your calls and soon you could be working from home with a company in your area.
