Beware of the Fake eBay/ Paypal Messages
I have gotten so many fake eBay and PayPal I had to warn you about them. The messages come saying you have an unpaid item you need to pay for, or your account is about to be closed. There are new clever ones coming out each day and I seem to be getting all of them. It’s fine because I know what to do. I am going to share that with you so you don’t get scammed.
First, don’t click on a single thing in the email. Somehow from that click they can gather all of your personal information and steal your identity. If you have clicked on it I would keep an eye on my credit report if I was you.
Second, you want to forward the email to spoof@ebay.com or spoof@paypal.com. They respond very quickly and let you know if the email is a fake or real.
Finally, log in to your eBay or Paypal account in a seperate browser to see if the email was telling the truth. If it was you would see it on your account page. Don’t see it-than it’s a fake.
Be careful and do your diligent homework and you won’t be sorry.
